Geriatric Hospital Suite

This project concentrates on creating a suite for geriatric care.

Advocate Aurora Health Care is planning to expand and build another wing. The new wing will offer more space for the patients and their families that may be undergoing a hard time and wish to have more privacy.

It’s already tough being at the hospital when a loved one has an illness or other health problems, so being in a cold and sterile place won’t be an option. So, I want to implement warm colors, to make the patients and family feel like they are at “home”. When designing this suite, I had to think of what materials to use so patients don't think the leaves on the wall covering is real. So, I used Auroras colors and implemented wood like flooring that is actually functional for a commercial space.
